today’s look: it’s raining dogs alone

I instantly fell in love with these Zara pants. I’ll be wearing them with a pair of loafers for sure, but for a dinner in the city I threw on a pair of wedges and my vintage Armani jacket. Gold bracelet: vintage. Purse: Chanel.

today’s look: dolce in red

Although the weather looks promising for the next few days, the wind is still a bit chilly. The fabric of this blouse is very light and comfortable, perfect for today. The colorful print reminds me of the gorgeous, and famous, Pucci prints. Another example of how to mix prints. Pants: H&M Belt: vintage Loafers: Asos

today’s look: all animals

I love these printed pants by H&M, with them I’m wearing a silk top and my vintage Hermes Kelly bag in chocolate brown. The metallic flats are H&M as well. My watch is Chanel and the silver bracelet has a baguette setting.

today’s look: orange enough

I love this black and orange ensemble (especially the cut of the skirt), but it just needed some spark. The animal print scarf adds just enough to make this look interesting. Shoes, scarf and leggings: H&M Skirt: H&M Conscious Collection

today’s look: pop of color

(more pictures below) Tweet This dress is amazing. It’s just tricot, and just black and white, but the way it flows and feels: I love it. I always wear it with this sequined vest by H&M and some sandals or ballerina flats, like these Oasis pony hair ones with zebra print. The chunky necklace is from India, the beads are made out of bone and wood. With this look, I mix up the bags. This neon leather clutch by H&M is a nice change of pace. Normally, I always choose a large white braided bag.

my favorites: chic animal prints

Animal prints can be tacky, wrong or just plain ‘hoochie’. We don’t want that. We want the gorgeous, chic, timeless and iconic animal prints. Here’s a bit of animal print inspiration for you. Combining animal prints does need some attention though, and not all prints are for every body. Make sure not to overdo, and take note: mixing animal prints is for pro’s! Always add a classic or polished item, so your outfit won’t look ‘cheap’.

today’s look: a little leopard

(more pictures below) Tweet This is the first summer in years, that I’ve gone without self tanning for so long. Something tells me I’m just over the whole tanning thing, I feel more chic this way. Let’s see how long I can keep it up… Today I’m wearing one of my favorite dresses, it’s it’s 3rd summer in my wardrobe and I just know I won’t grow tired of it anytime soon. The leather vintage belt is simply amazing, with the gorgeous golden print. The ballerina flats are Zara, the cheetah print bag (pony hair) is Mango. I’m in love.

today’s look: it’s my party

(more pictures below) Tweet And I wear what I want to! Today is my 34th birthday so I’m celebrating in all kinds of different ways: cake, presents (I’ll be sharing soon), family, ice cream and… beautiful clothes! This silk vintage dress just took my breath away, the first time I saw it. I must admit, that happens to me a lot when I see something beautiful. #instanthappiness Although I do have quite a few special dresses, this one is not your average party dress. It’s heavy, handmade, colorful, well-tailored, amazing! The weather today doesn’t fully agree with me on this dress, but as I wrote: it’s my party and I’ll wear what I want to. The leather heels are Zara, the clutch is H&M and the necklace is custom made by me. Happy birthday to me! (dress in detail &

how to wear: beware matchy-matchy

Tweet We fashion freaks like our looks interesting, tantalizing, absurd even! Ofcourse it’s ok to play it safe when you’re in doubt or just having an off-day. I certainly have my ‘playing-it-safe’-moments. When you feel like taking a chance, keep these notes in mind: * focus on one eye catcher, whether it’s a pop of color, a clash of prints, a lot of accessories, or very special shoes, or… (I could go on here) * make sure you take your hair, makeup and coat into account too (a pixie cut adds a little something different than, say, a wild bob). * finally: it’s often a matter of gut-feeling: only you know what suits you and your personality. Be inspired and have a great weekend!
