today’s look: it’s raining dogs alone

I instantly fell in love with these Zara pants. I’ll be wearing them with a pair of loafers for sure, but for a dinner in the city I threw on a pair of wedges and my vintage Armani jacket. Gold bracelet: vintage. Vintage lambskin purse: Chanel.

today’s look: dolce in red

Although the weather looks promising for the next few days, the wind is still a bit chilly. The fabric of this blouse is very light and comfortable, perfect for today. The colorful print reminds me of the gorgeous, and famous, Pucci prints. Another example of how to mix prints. Pants: H&M Belt: vintage Loafers: Asos

today’s look: orange enough

I love this black and orange ensemble (especially the cut of the skirt), but it just needed some spark. The animal print scarf adds just enough to make this look interesting. Shoes, scarf and leggings: H&M Skirt: H&M Conscious Collection

today’s look: pop of color

(more pictures below) Tweet This dress is amazing. It’s just tricot, and just black and white, but the way it flows and feels: I love it. I always wear it with this sequined vest by H&M and some sandals or ballerina flats, like these Oasis pony hair ones with zebra print. The chunky necklace is from India, the beads are made out of bone and wood. With this look, I mix up the bags. This neon leather clutch by H&M is a nice change of pace. Normally, I always choose a large white braided bag.

today’s look: a little leopard

(more pictures below) Tweet This is the first summer in years, that I’ve gone without self tanning for so long. Something tells me I’m just over the whole tanning thing, I feel more chic this way. Let’s see how long I can keep it up… Today I’m wearing one of my favorite dresses, it’s it’s 3rd summer in my wardrobe and I just know I won’t grow tired of it anytime soon. The leather vintage belt is simply amazing, with the gorgeous golden print. The ballerina flats are Zara, the cheetah print bag (pony hair) is Mango. I’m in love.

today’s look: it’s my party

(more pictures below) Tweet And I wear what I want to! Today is my 34th birthday so I’m celebrating in all kinds of different ways: cake, presents (I’ll be sharing soon), family, ice cream and… beautiful clothes! This silk vintage dress just took my breath away, the first time I saw it. I must admit, that happens to me a lot when I see something beautiful. #instanthappiness Although I do have quite a few special dresses, this one is not your average party dress. It’s heavy, handmade, colorful, well-tailored, amazing! The weather today doesn’t fully agree with me on this dress, but as I wrote: it’s my party and I’ll wear what I want to. The leather heels are Zara, the clutch is H&M and the necklace is custom made by me. Happy birthday to me! (dress in detail &

how to wear: beware matchy-matchy

Tweet We fashion freaks like our looks interesting, tantalizing, absurd even! Ofcourse it’s ok to play it safe when you’re in doubt or just having an off-day. I certainly have my ‘playing-it-safe’-moments. When you feel like taking a chance, keep these notes in mind: * focus on one eye catcher, whether it’s a pop of color, a clash of prints, a lot of accessories, or very special shoes, or… (I could go on here) * make sure you take your hair, makeup and coat into account too (a pixie cut adds a little something different than, say, a wild bob). * finally: it’s often a matter of gut-feeling: only you know what suits you and your personality. Be inspired and have a great weekend!

today’s look: check mate

Tweet Today the 2nd way to wear this animal sweater. I genuinely love to pair prints. These checked trousers are H&M, the black clutch is a vintage snakeskin one. When combining prints keep in mind: there’s always something that has to match, or they have to totally clash so it’s obvious you paired them that way on purpose.

today’s look: animal adagio

Tweet I love this comfortable H&M sweater with different animals on it. I’ll be showing you different ways to wear it. Today I chose a simple pair of black pleated pants, high shoe boots and my vintage crocodile skin clutch. Not often do I wear an outfit without accessories and/or jewelry but I decided the sweater should get all the attention, plus, it’s casual Friday. Have a great weekend!

today’s look: soft sweater

Tweet A lot of people ask me: do you wear every look you post? And I always answer: Yes, I do! Not for entire days though. Usually I trade my heels for a pair of flats or wedges and when I go grocery shopping or play with my 4yo son, I don’t let maxi-skirts and fur and rings get in the way, so… I do wear everything because I just love beautiful things and I love the way a gorgeous outfit makes me feel. It’s about joie de vivre, making the most of every day, especially when the weather is bad, be it outside or in my head. Today I’m wearing this lovely sweater, it’s soft, it’s comfy and I love the colors. Add a vintage blouse and warm pair of trousers and the entire look turned out to be

today’s look: african autumn

Tweet I’m wearing a turtleneck sweater today, paired with a vintage velvet skirt with a midi length, which has a fabulous animal print, a leather crocodile print belt, metallic leggings and my suede Asos booties. For some counterbalance I’ve added my leather Prada bag and when it’s cold in the morning I’ll be wearing these fabulous suede gloves.

how to wear: animal prints

Tweet I love wearing animal prints, they easily add a bit of spice to a look. Combining animal prints does need some attention though, and not all prints are for every body. Take care not to overdo, and mixing animal prints is for pro’s! Make sure to always add a classic or polished item, so the outfit won’t look ‘cheap’. I hope these pics will inspire you when looking for ideas.
