today’s look: a softer shade

A tasteful mixture of peach, pistachio and mango, with a little cream, if you will. I can’t get over this look! The cut of the H&M top (Conscious Collection) is simply divine, the Zara heels do deserve endless more rounds before summer’s coming to an end, and don’t even get me started on the lilly-white Hermes Kelly bag, one of the more beautiful vintage pieces in my collection. Pants: H&M Bracelet: Zara

today’s look: all animals

I love these printed pants by H&M, with them I’m wearing a silk top and my vintage Hermes Kelly bag in chocolate brown. The metallic flats are H&M as well. My watch is Chanel and the silver bracelet has a baguette setting.

today’s look: next is nice

(more pictures below) I could have worn this vintage white Hermes Kelly bag every day during our trip to the French Riviera. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Netherlands, but… the weather doesn’t always agree with my closet. And hence, this gorgeous white leather Kelly doesn’t get to see the light of day as much as she should. But not here, the Kelly and I both had a great time and I had to force myself to use the other (amazing!) designer pieces I brought. The pink dress is vintage, the ballerina flats are Versace x hm. I’m wearing a silver and pink agate bracelet and a red beaded mango bracelet. The earrings are H&M.

how this stylist packs for a 10 day trip to the Cote d’Azur

(more pictures below) It’s crazy and it’s one of my favorite things: packing the stylist’s way. Here’s how it gets done: (not necessarily in this order) First I pick lots of different items from my wardrobe: dresses, jewelry, shoes. Things I absolutely want to take with me. The rack gets more and more crowded and soon it’s cutting time! I have to decide what goes and what not, one of the hardest parts. (I always pack too much) I start putting looks together from all the items I chose, sometimes going back to my closet to add something. I’m deciding, photographing (so I can decide quickly on what to wear in any situation), and wrapping things together so every look will be packed together. (I totally recommend this, it will save you tons of time on your holiday spot) I

today’s look: chic shorts

(more pictures below) Tweet I can’t believe we have had this kind of sunny weather for over a week now! The temperatures are amazing and so are these fabulous clothes I can wear every day. I love how ‘non-pink’ this look is. Wait, let me explain that. Usually, pink brings a lot of girliness or sweetness to a look, but not here, I think. This look is more chic, and fabulously effortless. And though the blouse is very deep pink, the shorts take it more into a burgundy kind of shade. My vintage Hermes Kelly bag was practically begging me to take her out of the dust bag, and I listened, without hesitation, as there is no cloud, and thus, no rain in sight. The silver vintage ring with amazing cut emerald stone is the only jewelry I’m wearing today.

today’s look: oscar in paris

Tweet I love my vintage Oscar de la Renta jacket, the cut is perfect and it’s so versatile. I’ve paired it with my pointy toes in pastel yellow and pink pleated pants by H&M. The gorgeous bag in chocolate brown is vintage Hermes. I’m wearing a vintage Sarah Coventry pineapple bracelet and a silver ring with rhinestones. The necklace is a collection of vintage pieces paired with random finds, after the shoot it just kept growing.

what I’m packing for paris

click images for larger view Tweet I have to admit: for me, anticipatory pleasure is one of the best things about going away. Be it a camping trip to Italy, France and Austria, a fabulous beach vacation in a fancy hotel overseas or, this time, a romantic weekend to Paris, I’m ‘on high’ weeks beforehand. Without a doubt, thinking up outfits when laying in bed at night, picking out jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bikini’s are some of the things I never grow tired of. For this Paris trip color was a big thing, it’s almost spring everywhere and spring chose Paris for a full-on visit! (25C / 77F) As for jewelry: I always pick a lot more than I need as I love and need options. (For example, this time I managed to use only one, yes I repeat one!, pair

today’s look: goodbye gorgeous

Tweet I’ve sold my gorgeous vintage black box Kelly (35) so there will be room for a new Hermes piece of art and today I’m saying goodbye. I feel this fabulous look does justice to this beautiful piece of craftsmanship one last time, it’s a bit demure but still has lots of fabulousness. The pants are Topshop, top is vintage and faux fur vest is H&M.

today’s look: faux fur

Tweet I took a little break the past few days, here’s one of my favorite looks for you. I started with the intricate beaded skirt in a rare green-mustard tone, I’ve paired it with a simple black velvet top, a colored vintage bracelet, amazing Asos heels, a faux fur vest and the one and only vintage black Hermes Kelly bag in box calf leather. I’m totally in love with this look, it’s warm, I can move in it and it shows some guts and creativity.

how to wear: graphic prints

Tweet I love wearing prints, and mixing them even more. A look with prints always needs some attention when putting it together, and not all prints are for every body. Take care not to overdo on all parts, make sure the print gets the attention it deserves. It’s a lot of fun to wear a look with a printed item, even different ones mixed together, I hope these pics will inspire you when looking for ideas.

today’s fashion week look: monochromatic dvf

Tweet First day of Paris Fashion Week! Could I wear anything other than my one and only Hermes Kelly bag? Bought in the Paris Hermes store in 1970. My fabulous silk Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) dress is just what I need to go with the bag. My heels are Asos. De eerste dag van de Paris Fashion Week! Zou ik iets anders kunnen dragen dan mijn Hermes Kelly tas? Gekocht in Parijs in 1970. Mijn zijden Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) jurk past er mooi bij. De schoenen zijn van Asos.
